Broome- Things To Do And See With A Rented Campervan
-
Cable Beach
Derived its name from the telegraph cable laid in 1889 connecting Broome with the rest of the world. Enjoy a camel ride along this stunning 22 km stretch of white sandy beach. Both sunrise and sunset tours can be arranged. At Gantheaume Point, southern end of Cable Beach you can find pre-historic dinosaur footprints and also watch out for dolphins and whales swimming in the Indian Ocean.
If you are fortunate to be in Broome between the months of March and October - you may experience the Staircase to the Moon, an optical illusion of stairs rising up to the moon. This occurs during 3 days of each month.
-
Willie Creek Pearl Farm
Join the tour at this pearl farm located 38 km from Broome city Centre. This 4 hour tour will provide an insight into the modern cultured pearling process. You will learn the different processes from how to seed a live oyster, to harvesting and grading, that goes into producing a pearl. At the end of the tour, visit the showroom to purchase your very own ‘Australian South Sea Pearl’.
Rent a Campervan from Broome and explore the remote Kimberley region, including the many gorges and hiking trails along the Gibb River Road.
Visit the township of Derby- which is a little more than 200km from Broome. " If you want to visit the Buccaneer Archipelago (a cluster of more than 1000 rugged islands), a large number of cruise ships are easily available to you here. In addition to that, you can also experience the Horizontal Waterfalls- an amazing tidal feature where the water passes horizontally.
-
Geike Gorge National Park
located at the crossroad of the Oscar and the Geikie Ranges. This national park is easily accessible even in a 2WD campervan or vehicle. The Fitzroy River and the annual floods has created bleached white gorge walls – an attraction for both professional and amateur photographers. Camping at Geike Gorge National Park is not allowed but you will find picnic and BBQ areas and facilities.
-
El Questro Wilderness Park
which was previously a cattle station offers unique views of rugged ranges and gorges to the tourists visiting this place.
-
Argyle Diamond Mine
located in the East Kimberley region produces more than 1/3rd of the world’s diamond supply (more than 20 million carats a year). The very rare Argyle “pink” diamonds are mined here and you will be surprised to find that its price is many times the equivalent of a white diamond. You will have to book your guided tour of the mine from Kununurra.
Next on the itinerary is the Purnululu National Park and the Bungle Bungle Range. Many tour companies operating out of Kununurra offers guided campervan rental tours or flights into the area. If budget permits, we recommend a helicopter flight around area to view the imposing orange and black striped sandstone domes close up. On the ground you can also hire a guide to trek to the majestic Cathedral Gorge and Piccaninny Creek.
However, when it comes to renting a campervan in Broome, Aussie Campervan is always ready to help you with your Broome Campervan Rental requirements. We have a diligent and smart staff to understand your needs. We can also offer Broome motorhome rental and 4WD hire in Broome at affordable prices.
